Though I am thoroughly a Republican, I believe my country comes before my party and I want to congratulate President-elect Obama on a race well-fought. What makes our country the greatest in the world is that no matter what party or philosophy is in office, we are America. Violence against political opponents, riots in the streets, cries of stolen elections, and political bickering are not a part of our democracy and never should be. President Obama is my president, at least for 4 years. I will do my best to make my country better than I found it to the glory of God the Father. Though I will disagree (loudly or silently), I will not undermine any American official. I really do HOPE that our country CHANGEs to one that we can all be proud of: one without corruption, greed, crime, poverty, war, hatred, partisanship, racism, sexism, ageism, ignorance, intolerance, or sin. We are Americans. We will never be defeated. We will never give up. We will never surrender. Our forefathers came here to build a better world and it our duty to honor their sacrifices.
